Run Office Starter 2010 in Windows 8

Windows 8Windows 8 should be a hot topic recently, although the release preview is launched a while. When upgrading the operating system (whatever from Windows 7/Vista/XP), the biggest consideration should be compatibility. Some guys posted there are few hardware and software compatibility issues. I’m not worry because Microsoft should able to fix it later on. However, the important thing I’m concern is how can I keep my free Office Starter 2010 when I’m upgrading to Windows 8. Microsoft confirmed that Office 2010 is compatible with Windows 8, except Office Starter 2010. Most of the people lost their valuable Office Starter copy when upgrading to Windows 8. Microsoft posted a product support page for those Office Starter holder before they go for the latest Windows platform. In case you’re missed and lost your Office Starter, here is the way to get it and make it works for you. I mainly focus on the technical issue, it may not work in your case. Also, it may break the EULA or any license term, please be care.
