上網搜尋過問題應該與 shared calendar 或者 add-in / com-in 有關. 試過停了所有 add-in 仍解決不了問題. 最後出了殺手鐧 – 重新建立 Outlook profile.

英文 winxp 預設當然使用英文鍵盤, 所以要先轉為日文鍵盤. 可根據下列步驟變更為日文鍵盤.

日文鍵盤打英文

當完成之前既設定, 所對應既英文字或符號還未完全可以使用. 其實唔係大問題, [...]]]> 小棗近日遇到一個幾棘手既問題, 一部安裝了英文 winxp 既電腦, 但配合一個日文鍵盤使用. 因為英文與日文鍵盤在排列 (layout) 上不同, 所以使用時往往有睇住打都會錯既情況. 最有效解決問題既方法當然是將 winxp 內既鍵盤設定由英文轉為日文. 但在網上仲未有明確既說明方法, 小棗最後能夠完成這個不多能既任務. 小棗就此提供解決方法, 如果有任何問題都歡迎大家討論一下.

keyboard layout 由英轉日

英文 winxp 預設當然使用英文鍵盤, 所以要先轉為日文鍵盤. 可根據下列步驟變更為日文鍵盤.

1. 到控制台 > 鍵盤
2. 在鍵盤內容視窗進入硬件頁, 按內容
3. 在內容視窗進入驅動程式頁, 按更新驅動程式
4. 選擇不要使用 Windows Update 更新驅動程式, 按下一步
5. 選擇從清單或特定位置安裝驅動程式, 按下一步
6. 選擇不要搜尋, 我將選擇要安裝的驅動程式, 按下一步
7. 在硬體更新精靈視窗解除顯示相容硬體選項
8. 在製造商一欄選 (標準鍵盤), 在機型一欄選擇新的鍵盤語文 (例子選擇為日文鍵盤)
9. 按下一步繼續, 系統會安裝所需驅動程式
10. 重新啟動電腦

完成上述步驟後, 日文鍵盤在硬件層面已經設定完成. 下一步針對輸入法做設定.

日文鍵盤打英文

當完成之前既設定, 所對應既英文字或符號還未完全可以使用. 其實唔係大問題, 只要按照下列步驟係語言選項由美式英文鍵盤轉為日式英文鍵盤便可.

1. 到控制台 > 地區及語言選項
2. 在地區及語言選項視窗進入語言頁, 按詳細資料
3. 在文字服務和輸入語言視窗, 按新增進入新增輸入法語言視窗
4. 在輸入法語言欄選擇 英文 (美國)
5. 在鍵盤配置/輸入法欄選擇日文, 並按確定回文字服務和輸入語言視窗
6. 成功加入後,  在預設輸入語言欄選擇英文 (美國) – 日文
7. 按套用及確定回控制台

現在全部英文字及所對應既符號都可以使用了.

日文鍵盤打中文

要再進一步在日文鍵盤打中文都唔係問題, 步驟同日文鍵盤打英文一樣. 只不過在第四步驟改為中文 (台灣), 在第五步驟選取所需既中文輸入法及無需做步驟六, 直接跳到步驟七便可.

As URLs are beginning with http://, so I removed this part by a [...]]]> Recently, I got a tough task about collecting external sources link back to my site. It may be a piece cake to most of the people, but what I’ve got is a list of URL and an excel.

Remove common http pattern

As URLs are beginning with http://, so I removed this part by a simple formula:

RIGHT(,LEN()-7) OR RIGHT(,LEN()-LEN(“http://”))

Since http:// is 7 characters length, that’s why len()-7 or len()-len(“http://”) both return the remaining number of characters left.

Remove common sub-domain pattern (www)

Another part to trim at the front of the domain name is another common pattern – www. For those domain name not starting with this pattern, such as blog.joe-ho.com, I’ll handle it later.

IF(LEFT(,4)=”www.”,,RIGHT(,LEN()-4))

Actually this is similar as the previous step we did, but added an IF condition.

We can combine both simple formula into a complex way, when the domain is starting with “www” we take out the first 11 characters (“http://www.”), otherwise we just take out http header. The complex formula will be same as below:

IF(MID(,8,4)=”www.”,RIGHT(LEN(),LEN()-11),RIGHT(LEN(),LEN()-7))

Remove remaining after domain name

Next step we will focus on cut out the remaining after domain names. As some URLs are shown detaily which pages linked with our websites, those non-standard URLs still have a same pattern starting with a / mark. Our next mission is removing all the stuffs after that mark, sure we will remove the mark too. We use the following formula to find out where the mark located in cell.

LEFT(,FIND(“/”,)-1)

The FIND forumla is doing a straight forward task, find the location where the text found in a cell. If nothing found, the forumla will return 0. That mean when forumla return more than 0, ie >0, that mean the text is found in cell.

After the FIND forumla, I minus 1 in the result. It is because we need remove the “/” mark too. If we didn’t do so, the final domain name will show as joe-ho.com/ instead of joe-ho.com. Fianlly, we use LEFT forumla to get the most valuable things we needed.

If the text we need happened more than 1 time, we can use SUBTITUTE formula to change the text to a special symbol and use FIND forumla to locate that symbol. Below is the example of the formula, remember we need always specific where the mark we need.

LEFT(,FIND(” “,SUBSTITUTE(,”/”,” “,))-1)

其實 Microsoft 之前已經透過 Docs.com 推出了 Web Office Suit, 不過使用者需要與 facebook 帳戶連結. 與 Docs.com 比較, 這個以 Microsoft 名義推出既 Office Suit 在功能上會更完整, 至少提供了 Notes 程式. Microsoft Office Web App 在功能上可以被稱為網上家用版, Docs.com 亦被視為網上既 Office 試用版.

以 Google 既名氣, Google Docs 確是較 Zoho, ThinkFree 或其他網上辦公室軟件有機會威脅 Microsoft Office. 不過 Microsoft 在辦公室軟件佔有率一向擁有最多既份額, 加上現在既自家 Web Office App 及 Docs.com, 它的辦公室軟件已從電腦軟件推展至網絡層面, 使它的佔有率進一步擴大.

這個程式既改動除了介面改變了一下之外, 它加入了控制 CPU 在掃瞄病毒時既工作量. 這樣可避免 CPU 不需集中在掃毒程式既工作上, 不過似乎單核 CPU 未能發揮這個選項既優點, 雙核或多核 CPU 反而會有得着.

Recently, there is an free wi-fi network name “Free Public Wifi” available in most famous shopping malls of Hong Kong. However, [...]]]> 近日香港發現疑似假免費無線網絡, 名稱為 “Free Public Wifi”. 該無線網絡為開放網絡並不設加密連接. 根據電訊網絡商 PCCW 指出, 該網絡並非真正 Wifi 熱點, 而是偽無線網絡 (viral SSID).

其實使用無線上網時除了注意連接正確及信任網絡外, 仍需注意如果錯誤地連接其他非信任網絡有機會被人入侵 / 資料被偷.

Recently, there is an free wi-fi network name “Free Public Wifi” available in most famous shopping malls of Hong Kong. However, there is no network traffic when you try to stuff the net. According to an ISP, PCCW, this is a fake wifi network (viral SSID). This SSID not only exist in Hong Kong, but all over the world. This mainly because a bug exist in WinXP SP2 or lower version. That bug will let the old version windows remember this SSID and recall it when no wifi available around.

The only workaround is avoid to join this wireless network, because the we can’t fix the problem in other computers not owned by us, right?
