If you don’t see Contacts in the Address Book, you may need to add the Outlook

Address Book service to your profile. Use the Mail and Fax applet in the Control

Panel or Tools, Services in Outlook

The Outlook Address Book itself does not contain any addresses. Instead, it is

the parent container for one or more Contacts folders. The Outlook Address Book

in each profile can include a different set of Contacts folders.

When you

add a new Contacts folder, it normally is added to the Outlook Address Book

automatically. If this doesn’t happen (i.e., if you don’t see the new folder in

the Address Book display), you may need to make the new folder available to the

Address Book. Follow these steps:

 

  1. Right-click on the Contacts folder name, either in the Folder List or in theFolder Banner above the Information Viewer, then choose Properties. Or, switchto the Contacts folder, then choose File, Folder, Properties.
  2. Switch to the Outlook Address Book tab
  3. Select “Show this folder as an e-mail address Book.”
  4. If you want the folder to have a different name when you view it through theAddress Book, enter that name in the “Name of the address book” box.
  5. Click OK to finish.

After you’ve added a new address list, you can

view it in the Address Book. Choose Tools, Address Book. Under “Show Names from

the,” look under Outlook Address Book for the new folder that you just added
