What is the following icon means when a Mac started up?

Mac OS Target Disk Mode

A. Recovery mode

B. NetBoot

C. Target Disk Mode

D. Booting external storage



Ans.: C (Target Disk Mode)

Mac can act as an external hard disk in Target Disk Mode. Once the mode started, user is able to use FireWire or Thunderbolt connected with other computer for copy files in or out from that volume.

The following is the requirement on the host computer:

1. FireWire or Thunderbolt cable

2. FireWire or Thunderbolt ready

3. Mac OS X 10.6 or later
